01 · Test center

State-of-the-art
in Limassol.

Our state-of-the-art test center in Limassol is the institutional memory of the producer network. Every new gauge, formulation, supplier, and SKU is run through it before it enters a distributor pricelist. Multiple test methods, calibrated equipment, and a documented procedure for every result.

The point of the center is not to certify the supplier. The point is to defend the spec. When a distributor briefs us on a load profile, the answer comes back grounded in instrumented runs across several disciplines, not in a brochure.

  • Pallet stability Calibrated acceleration sled. Replicates the dynamic loads a wrapped pallet sees in transit on regulated routes. Pass / caution / fail captured with the acceleration trace.
  • Stretch film quality Puncture, cling, maximum stretch, and unwind force tested per gauge and per supplier batch. The four numbers a load relies on, instrumented and recorded.
  • Containment force Containment-force tool measuring the actual pressure applied to a pallet by the tertiary packaging in real time. Translates wrap pattern and pre-stretch into the force the load is securing under.
  • Strapping quality Break-load, elongation, and retained-tension testing for PET and PP strap. Measured against the load profile the strap is specified for.
  • Tape noise check Unwind noise tested for tapes destined to operations where audibility matters. Quiet unwind specified, instrumented, and signed off.
  • Reporting frame EUMOS 40509 for load stability and DIN EN 12195-1 for road securing forces. Referenced because they govern how the center works, not as a marketing badge.
03 · Process

From sample
to certificate.

  1. 01 · SampleDistributor or buyer submits a sample roll or supplier batch. Logged, photographed, and weighed.
  2. 02 · BuildReference pallet built to the load profile under test. Wrap applied at the prescribed pre-stretch and overlap. Strap and tape applied per the brief.
  3. 03 · RunSled accelerated to the target profile. Containment force, puncture, cling, unwind, and noise measured under load. Run repeated under witness if reproduction is required.
  4. 04 · ReportResult filed against the distributor account. Pass, caution, or fail captured with the acceleration trace and instrumented values from each test method.
  5. 05 · AuditProducer batches re-tested on cycle. Calibration cross-checked between procurement-office samples and Limassol output to keep the producer network honest.
Reproducibility Where a distributor needs an audited reproduction of a result for their own customer’s pallet-securement protocol, the test is repeated under witness and the output is filed against their account. The audit trail is the deliverable, not a single PDF.
