PET strap as a substitute for steel on heavy and high-tension applications. PP strap for lighter and shorter-term loads. Width 9 to 32 mm. Break load 2000 to 15000 N for PET. Manufactured per ASTM D3950. Tensioners and dispensers stocked. Edge protection on request.
Strapping carries the load profile stretch film cannot. Heavy unitised loads, long-haul road and sea, building materials, metal coils, lumber bundles, baled goods. The strap absorbs the dynamic load and transfers it to the buckle or seal. Specification is by break load, retained tension, and elongation, not by appearance.
PET (polyester) strap is the substitute-for-steel grade. High break load, high retained tension, excellent shock absorption, no risk of injury during application or break-out, no risk of rust staining the goods. The default for export pallets, heavy bundles, metal coils, and any application where the strap stays under tension for weeks or months. PET also delivers significant cost savings versus steel strap, both on the strap itself and on storage footprint.
PP (polypropylene) strap is lighter, lower-cost, and indicated for short-cycle bundling, lighter loads, and operations where the strap is broken open within hours or days of being applied. Runs on a wide range of automatic strapping machines and hand tools.

The case for PET over steel is now clear-cut on most heavy-load applications. PET delivers excellent mechanical performance with no corrosion, no risk of injury during application or break-out, lighter handling, no rust staining of packaged goods, and recyclability at end of life. Cost savings of up to 50 percent on the strap itself, plus reduced floor space for storage and lower transport weight on the goods.
Tension retention is the operating advantage. The strap stays tight even when the package shrinks during storage or transit, the case across most building materials and industrial bundles. Where steel strap would loosen, PET maintains the load.
Cartons, bundled cardboard, light-load palletisation, and any application where the strap is broken open within hours. PP is the right call when the load is light and the cycle is short.
