Cast LLDPE is the world’s most-used stretch film and the default specification for the majority of palletised loads. Manufactured by extruding molten LLDPE through a flat die onto a chilled roller, the cast process delivers high optical clarity, consistent gauge, low memory, and a predictable cling on the inside face. The film unwinds quietly, releases at the right tension, and yields the containment force the pallet was specified for.
We carry the full pre-stretch range from 50 percent to 400 percent. Lower pre-stretch suits hand-applied wrapping and forgiving load profiles. Higher pre-stretch up to 400 percent delivers substantial film savings per pallet at equivalent containment force, and is the default specification for high-volume distributors quoting against retailer pallet-securement protocols.

The economics of Cast turn on the pre-stretch ratio. A roll wrapped at 300 to 400 percent pre-stretch covers roughly two to three times the linear distance of the same roll at 100 percent, at equivalent containment force. For a distributor wrapping at scale, that compounds into significant film savings per pallet on the same load.
Where a load needs higher initial puncture or higher cling on irregular surfaces, the Cast range is complemented by Blown film on the same channel. The two are sourced from separate producers and ship in separate containers.
If the load is sharp-edged, high-tier, or irregular, default to Blown. If the load is regular and price-sensitive at scale, default to high pre-stretch Cast. The test center in Limassol can validate the choice on a sample submitted by the distributor.
